History

Nature’s Pantry is a locally, family-owned company that employs area residents to sell products produced within the Hudson Valley. We purchase supplies and services from local providers and support local civic, school and volunteer organizations.

A proud member of Northeast Organics Farmers association of New York, as well as, the USDA program “Pride of New York,” Nature’s Pantry has always gone beyond simply making those products available in our stores.  Throughout our history, we are proud to have not simply bought locally produced goods, but in a small way helped nurture several local companies in their growth.  This is an integral part of the Nature’s Pantry philosophy and something that we will strive to continue and improve on in the future!

A Fresh Start!

Purchasing perishable commodities locally is an integral part of the second focus of Nature’s Pantry; to sell FRESH products.  Most of those goods, which we are able to source locally, are purchased weekly.  This includes baked goods, fresh salsa, eggs, produce, honey, soap and more!

Once product is received by Nature’s Pantry it is monitored for freshness.

Natural Value

Any discounts we receive you get – as our valued customers!  Most grocery stores promote frequent shopper cards or similar programs that EVENTUALLY reward you after a certain number of purchases.  You won’t find that here– Why?  Because Nature’s Pantry wants to give you the best price immediately!  Our prices minimally reflect a 15% everyday discount on the majority of our products.  In addition we have an abundance of in-store sales and monthly specials that range anywhere from 20% -50% off!

Nature’s Pantry has grown from 1500 square feet in Wappinger’s Falls in 1989 to a combined total of 20,000 square feet, with the grand opening of our new location in New Windsor… coming soon.  Along the way we have established long term relationships with hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers in our industry.  The combination of additional purchasing power and long term relations gives Nature’s Pantry the ability to offer our customers the best price and the best value available.

It is the cornerstone of the Nature’s Pantry philosophy of VALUE, that every customer is our “best customer”.  Every person who enters Nature’s Pantry is greeted in a friendly manner by an employee.  Many of our employees possess special knowledge through experience of vegetarian foods, diabetes, lactose or gluten intolerance which they are happy to share.  If an employee is not able to answer a question, we will research the question to find an answer.

It is Nature’s Pantry’s goal to provide every customer who patronizes our stores the freshest product available (locally produced when possible) at the best value!
